CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young)
CRY is a charity founded in 1995 to provide support and information on cardiac risk in young people.
Counselling – CRY offers help, support and counselling to families who have suffered a loss. Our counselling development programme is funded by a grant award from the Department of Health.
CRY SS Club – CRY has just launched the CRY Surgery Supporters Club for young people who have had, or are about to confront, potentially lifesaving surgery of implantation of difibrillator, pacemaker, or ablation, and want to talk to others who have been through a similar experience.
Donate machinery – CRY has donated over £1/4 million pounds of cardiac machinery to doctor’s surgeries and hospitals.
CRY also operates a number of cardiac screening programmes, and funds medical research and the CRY Centre for Sports Cardiology at the British Olympic Medical Centre.
