Societi is the UK Kawasaki Disease Foundation
Societi was established in 2015 and is supported by a UK Scientific Advisory Board of leading paediatricians and Kawasaki Disease experts, and a UK Steering group. The group comprises key national leaders and influencers (including Simon Kenny, NHS Clinical Director for children and young people.) who together act as a catalyst for positive change around Kawasaki Disease – for awareness, for knowledge sharing and to encourage best practice in clinical care across the UK.
At Societi we are working hard to get this serious disease known, to stop children having to face life long heart disease – as well as supporting families after a Kawasaki Disease diagnosis. Every year we work to train hundreds of doctors, undertake fact finding research, run awareness campaigns, build strong partnerships and support families.
