Launch of Paediatric and Neonatal Deceased Donation Strategy by NHS Blood and Transplant: Every gift of donation is precious
NHS Blood and Transplant today launches the Paediatric and Neonatal Deceased Donation Strategy. This ‘… aims to build a framework that embeds organ donation as a routine end of life care choice for every family facing the death of their child, in circumstances where donation may be possible.’
‘… written in partnership with paediatric and neonatal professionals, the families of child donors, retrieval and transplant professionals and other partners, the recommendations found in this Strategic Plan are designed to assure health care professionals, families, children and society, that every gift of donation is precious and will be explored.’
