Hannah's Story

told by herself

My first month of high school, I was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The doctor didn’t know how I was still alive and said no more sports or dance. So I had lots of free time to watch TV and movies.

It was my therapy and became my passion. I’ve earned my film degree and my goal is putting more of our heart patient stories into media. I make content about us and for us. It’s kooky, real, comical, sad, and true – like our lives.

I’m a sudden cardiac arrest survivor and have an implanted defibrillator. My view from the other side of death gives me perspective and insight which I want to share.
