Faith's Story

Proof that you can take control of your health, wellness, and mindset

Hi, I’m Faith. I’m 23 years old, and I’m a heart attack survivor.

I truly appreciate you taking the time to learn a little about me. I’m the founder of Heart and Harmony Wellness, where I channel my passion for health and well-being into helping others transform their lives. I work as an online coach, I’m the host of the “Shut the Front Door” podcast on Spotify, and I teach Mat Pilates.

Now, to the heart of my story—literally. On January 6, 2024, I survived a major heart attack caused by two underlying health conditions I had no idea I had: a PFO (a hole in the heart) and May-Thurner syndrome. Since then, I’ve been living with heart failure, managing medications, and adapting to a completely new way of life.

Despite the challenges, I’m proud to support the Children’s Heart Federation because I truly believe that health, fitness, mindset, and wellness are the foundations of a fulfilling life—no matter your age or whether you’re a survivor, caregiver, or someone simply looking to live better.

Surviving an event with only a 12% survival rate has given me a unique perspective. I’ve undergone multiple surgeries, though my PFO surgery didn’t go as planned, leaving me with a literal hole in my heart. That’s actually the inspiration behind my podcast’s name, “Shut the Front Door”—a.k.a. The Hole in My Heart.

But here’s the thing: I choose to see it all as part of my superhuman story. I believe in the power of sharing our experiences to uplift and empower others. While what I went through was physically, mentally, and emotionally devastating, it’s also fueled my mission to raise awareness about heart health, advocate for policy changes around heart screenings and blood clot prevention, and shine a light on the mental health struggles that often follow major cardiac events.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me baking, cooking, embracing all things pink, and walking my mini sausage dog, Winnie, who often makes guest appearances in my videos.

I’m grateful to be in recovery and to share my journey as proof that you can take control of your health, wellness, and mindset—no matter the circumstances. Thank you for getting to know me and my story. I’m always open to questions, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
