CHF’s drop-in session for MPs on 3 April to focus on supporting research into medication for heart children
The Children’s Heart Federation (CHF) is arranging a drop-in session for MPs today at Portcullis House.
CHF’s initiative is an opportunity for your local MP to hear about how CHF is supporting research into medication for children and how we collaboratively have worked with scientists, doctors and patient groups to come up with a mini-tablet for infants and children through our work with the pan-European Labelling of Enalapril from Neonates up to Adolescents (LENA Study).
- The drop-in session will focus on the benefits of child-centred medical research and the production of mini-tablets of less than 3mm to ensure accurate doses for children.
- There will be an opportunity for MPs to view a short child-meds animation and to talk to CHF about the campaign. There will also be the chance to speak to a parent of a child with a heart condition about their experiences with “off licence” medication being prescribed to a child.
- Be part of this important conversation and let your MP know about CHF’s medicines for children campaign and drop-in session for MPs on 3 April.
Let’s share this important message with our MPs to ensure our heart children’s voices and medical needs are listened to and heard.
