All children and young people benefit from being physically active, and swimming can be very good exercise for a child with heart conditions.

Not sure about where to start, why not try a different swimming stroke each week?
• Backstroke
• Freestyle
• Breaststroke
• Butterfly

If doing laps isn’t your thing, there are excellent aquatic alternatives to swimming. Try walking or running in the water.

Count up those meters and with every stroke you are supporting that 1 in 100 heart child and their family across the UK.
