Royal Parks Half Marathon
Having recently taken up running, I decided that the best way to ensure that I kept it up was to enter a half marathon. My housemates had already registered for the Royal Parks Half Marathon, and I thought it would be a great opportunity to raise money whilst doing something I really enjoy. The day itself was amazing, one of the best days of 2012. The atmosphere was fantastic and at four points during the race, there were the CHF gang in force cheering you on which was amazing. When you hear about all the situations that the children and their families have to go through, just thinking about them, really spurs you on – the pain you endure during 13 miles is nothing compared to what the children and families have to go through and I was so incredibly pleased to raise the funds for such a worthwhile cause. I’m signing up next year!
Thank you so much to Rachel who raised a fantastic £1,190 for CHF. You have done incredibly well and have achieved a huge amount; with your own personal achievements in finishing with such brilliant times and in raising so much for CHF. You have also really helped to raise awareness of CHF and thank you for your support. Hopefully we’ll see you at the RPHM 2013!
