Lucy Yates had always wanted to do a skydive, and having heard about the work that the Children’s Heart Federation does through a friend, she signed up to do a skydive and fundraise for CHF.
Lucy’s family and friends came along to the airfield on the day to support her and see her jump. Lucy said, “I can honestly say that the skydive was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I asked the instructor to spin as we skydived down and it was brilliant!
The best part of the jump was the free fall as it was the most amazing feeling. Seeing all the views when your parachute opens was incredible and I would recommend it to everyone. It is so enjoyable and such a great experience, I would love to do the jump again!”
Lucy decided to raise money for the Children’s Heart Federation as she said, “CHF do such wonderful work and it is a great cause. Knowing my money is going to help children with heart conditions made jumping out of the plane even better! My work really supported me in my challenge and got involved with the fundraising, which was brilliant. With their help I managed to raise £2,000.”
Lucy raised a fantastic amount and everyone at CHF would like to say a very big thank you to Lucy and everyone who sponsored her and helped her with her fundraising. We are looking for 25 fundraisers to sign up to do a skydive in 2013 to help celebrate CHF’s 25th Birthday and we would love to have Lucy on the team again.
