Ellie Dixon and Nick Hall

Nick Hall and Ellie Dixon are cycling from John O’Groats to Lands End to raise funds for the Children’s Heart Federation (CHF) in memory of their baby daughter Harper who was born with Tetralogy of Fallots but sadly died on 4th July 2019, just a few weeks old.

Fundraising stars Nick Hall and Ellie Dixon plan to cycle the 874 miles from John O’Groats to Land’s End on August 1 2020 – a challenge that will take 14 days to complete. The couple hope to raise £10,000 for CHF. Nick’s employees Intercoat in Walsall are providing the couple’s training outfits and cycle helmets.

Nick, 35, said:

“When we left the hospital, there was no support available for us. It was such a traumatic experience but there were no phone calls to see how we were doing.

“It was only when we were doing a bit of research that we found the CHF; they help children with heart conditions and their families by providing them with information, support and resources when they need it most.

“We’d like to thank my employees Intercoat for providing our training clothing and for being so supportive during this difficult time for the family”.

“We wanted something to focus on and for something positive to come out of Harper’s life.”
